Foster daughter update

Many of our family and friends had the opportunity to meet our foster daughter of six months last year. The girls and I visited her again today, and I thought I'd give you an update. First off, she turned two last month. She is doing very well! She looks happy and healthy, is talking more, and is much calmer than when she lived with us. I think this new environment is really good for her since she doesn't have to compete for attention with two other young kids. In her new home she has one eight year old sister. The sister initially had a hard time adjusting to not being an only child, but is now really enjoying her new role. Her case hasn't seemed to have progressed in the last four and a half months, which is frustrating. However, once again it appears that adoption is back on the table and the new family is very much on board if it goes that direction. Only time will tell how things will turn out, but if she doesn't go back to her father, at least she won't be moving anywhere else.
